The Japan Iron and Steel Federation

Published

The Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF) is a nationwide non-profit organisation of Japanese steel industry representing major steel producers, steel trading companies and steel-related industry associations of Japan.

After the end of life, almost all of the steel products are recovered as steel scraps and fully recycled as new steel material for various kinds of steel products again and again, making a closed material recycling loop.

Circulation of steel through the steel scrap recycling contributes to the circular economy through reducing the use of natural resources, energy consumption and environmental impact.
