Event recording.
On 25 October, Sitra will open a call for solutions with an objective of developing products and services utilising different data sources to create energy savings and level consumption peaks. The deadline for applications is 21 November 2022.
The call is intended for companies and other operators, such as non-profit organisations and student teams. We are looking for new, even surprising solutions to meet the energy challenges of this and future winters. Sitra will fund quick experiments that utilise open data and possibly MyData.
The aim is to help individual electricity or heating users to achieve energy savings or be flexible with their energy use with the help of digital solutions, which will reduce the peak energy consumption of the whole of Finland.
The call for solutions has two rounds. The first will be open 25 October–21 November 2022. Between EUR 5,000 and EUR15,000 for each selected pilot project will be available in the first stage of the call for solutions. A maximum of three of the best pilot projects will be selected for the second stage.
The pilot projects selected for stage two will have the opportunity to apply for between EUR 20,000 and EUR 50,000 in funding from Sitra for the continued development of the solution in spring 2023.
We will publish more detailed terms and conditions of application as well as other application-related materials on our website on 25 October.
Join the info webinar to learn more about the solutions that Sitra is looking for. Or, are you wondering who can participate in the call? What is new enough? What are the accepted data sources for projects to be funded?
Join the webinar and we will tell you more about our intentions and answer your questions.
The languages used in the info webinar are Finnish and English.
A summary of the questions and answers will be published on Sitra’s website on 11 November.
On 31 October, are also organising a reverse pitching event where energy operators will present energy sector challenges and problems to the participants.
