Slush Evening for Circular and Clean Solutions gathers together entrepreneurs, researchers, investors and experts in circular economy, smart water, IoT and biomaterials on November 121th. The programme features the launch of open innovation contests by leading technology companies, pitching competitions, exclusive networking and discussions on the future of circular and clean solutions.
Fortum, Kemira, UPM and Wärtsilä are bringing several innovation competitions to Slush. Some of the competitions have already started, but some will be launched at the Slush Evening for Circular and Clean Solutions. The evening comprises the largest collection of cleantech competitions in the history of Slush. Prior to the competition part, startups have an option to participate a speed dating session hosted by Cleantech Finland from 4pm to 6pm.
Here are some examples of the competitions:
- Fortum is seeking solutions that help consumers in everyday life, regarding e.g. clean solutions and the environment. The competition will be running until the end of October, and at Slush, Fortum will select three finalists.
- Kemira is looking for solutions in chemical water treatment.
- Wärtsilä will be targeting digital services and solutions in marine technology in its innovation competition, which starts on 26 October and continues until the end of the year.
- UPM will be publishing the details of its competition in Slush.
The event is hosted by Sitra and organized in cooperation with Lahja Itämerelle ry and Finnish Water Forum. The event is limited to 300 entrepreneurs, enthusiasts and investors. See the programme.
