WCEF Studios are local events that support the annual World Circular Economy Forum from anywhere in the world. They deliver all or part of the main Forum programme while incorporating additional elements to select local audiences, live or online.

This year’s main event, WCEF2022 will be held in Kigali, Rwanda, with limited seating. To engage local participation throughout Africa, our co-host, the African Circular Economy Network (ACEN), will organise African Studios in five cities across the continent. In addition, anyone can organise Global Studios from anywhere around the world.

WCEF2022 Global Studios can be organised preferably during the first two days of the main event on 6–7 December or by using recordings of the sessions. Using recordings would enable easier participation from other time zones, for example. All Studios are to take place before 15 December. When organised during the main event, additional programmes should take place during the breaks or before or after the main event’s programme.

Studios can be used to connect discussions on local circular economy topics and solutions with relevant content from the main event. Additional programmes can include local keynotes, round table discussions, workshops and networking, for example.

Any language can be used in a Global Studio, although official WCEF content is available in English. The host is responsible for all practicalities and expenses related to organising the Studio, including the venue, virtual event platform, local programme content, invitations, registrations, marketing and communications, as well as possible translations.

If you are interested in organising a WCEF2022 Global Studio, please contact Sitra at contactus.wcef@sitra.fi. And in case you are interested in collaborating with ACEN at one of the five African Studios, please contact wcef2022@acen.africa.

All WCEF2022 Studios will be published on the event website. African Studios will be hosted in Yaoundé, Cameroon; Lagos, Nigeria; Kigali, Rwanda; Cape Town, South Africa; and Lusaka, Zambia. The first Global Studios will be announced by early November and the full list by 23 November.
