Pat Cox, President of the European Movement and former President of the European Parliament, is presenting today to European Commission Vice President Günter Verheugen a major new international study: “Financing Sustainable Healthcare in Europe: New Approaches for New Outcomes”, which was endorsed earlier this month at an international conference in Helsinki, Finland.
Coinciding with the critical debate in progress in Europe about patient mobility and the future of health services, the “Cox Report” addresses how European governments should invest resources to provide the best quality healthcare for patients and citizens.
“Cox Report” report resulted from a year long study which brought together leading experts in health policy and health care financing from the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, INSEAD and the London School of Economics, among others, in partnership with the Luxembourg Ministry of Health, the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and Pfizer.
