Daan Weddepohl is the founder and CEO of Peerby.com, a platform that enables its members to borrow the things they need from others in their neighbourhood. Peerby’s mission is to make every consumer product part of a regenerative cycle; the website and app give people access to a broad range of goods, such as tools, electronics, party gear and recreational equipment without the need to buy or own it, leading to a reduced need for production. Minimising how long products stand idle by sharing them is the first effective step towards achieving a circular economy.
