Dimitris Xevgenos has a strong scientific and engineering background in waste, wastewater and energy management.
His start-up company SEALEAU B.V., exploiting the recognized scientific results of a EU LIFE-funded project, brings to life innovative wastewater treatment technologies that turns complex saline impaired industrial wastewater (brine) into useful end products. Throughout his studies, he obtained 8 scholarships and received 3 awards/grants for continuing his research into a business opportunity. After being selected out of 15,000 applicants, he participated in the acceleration program of STARTUPBOOTCAMP in High Tech Campus. Dimitris also newly conceived ZERO BRINE, a project for further developing the circular economy approach for the re-use of water and minerals recovered from brine effluents, under EU Horizon 2020.
