Who?
Henna Hiilamo works to update democracy and strengthen participation in Sitra’s parliamentary projects. She co-ordinates and produces various reports and promotes stakeholder engagement to support parliamentary reform.
Henna is inspired by reforming the structures and operating practices of democracy and of social influence and by promoting social inclusion and well-being.
She has a master’s degree in social sciences from the University of Helsinki, where she majored in social and public policy.

Henna has previously worked on Sitra’s Updating Democracy project as well as with projects on the development of social welfare and healthcare – Human-driven health and Funding of social welfare and healthcare services.
She also worked as a parliamentary assistant from 2011 to 2015.

In her free time, Henna enjoys hiking, spending time at her summer cottage and doing water sports of all kinds. Her favourite summer activities are swimming and sailing. In the winter, this Lahti native enjoys snowboarding and cross-country skiing.
