Hiroshi Kuniyoshi has extensive experience of policy work especially.
He started his career at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now known as METI), then became Director of the Overseas Communication Office and Advanced Reactor Development there. He has worked at UNIDO as Senior Adviser to the Director General, as Director at the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Office and as professor of the Frontier Research Center at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. He then became Director General of the Economic Policy Department at METI, Head of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and Executive Director of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). Currently he serves as Deputy to the Director General and Managing Director at External Relations and Policy Research of UNIDO.
