Kgauta Mokoena is Chief Director for Chemicals and Waste Policy, Monitoring and Evaluation at South Africa’s Department of Environmental Affairs. He also holds the position of Coordinator for the Africa Alliance on Circular Economy.
Since graduating with degrees in Environmental Hydrology and Soil Science and Policy Development, Mr Mokoena has gone onto hold multiple positions within various provincial and national government departments in South Africa, specialising in mining, waste and air quality management.
Participating in numerous community development projects, Mr Mokoena has also received several awards and recognition for his contribution to the environment and waste sector. and national government departments in South Africa, specialising in mining, waste and air quality management.
