Kirsi Sormunen

Kirsi Sormunen holds vast experience from positions in a variety of organizations and communities.

She is Senior Advisor for Corporate Responsibility issues at the Directors’ Institute of Finland, Non-Executive Director on the Board of Directors of VR Group and DNA, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Sitra. She also currently shares the co-chair of Finland’s Road map to a circular economy with Minister Kimmo Tiilikainen. She is currently also a member of the Board of Directors of UNICEF Finland, and the Advisory Board of Lappeenranta University of Technology. She has held several leadership positions in Finance and Control at Nokia Corporation and also had the role of Chief Sustainability Officer. During these years she was a member of the boards of several Nokia subsidiaries and affiliated companies.
