Laura Salonen is a communications and public affairs specialist at Sitra, responsible for communications for the Nature and Daily Life project.
What?
Laura has been working closely with environmental issues for almost ten years. At Sitra, Laura plans how to communicate about sustainable living in relation to the environment in the most attractive way possible.
Laura has a long history of working in digital and NGO communications. Her most recent experience was working for a nature magazine. Laura is happy to help when it comes to figuring out how to communicate clearly about complex issues or how to reach the right audience on social media.
Laura holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Helsinki, majoring in communication.

In her free time, you’re most likely to find Laura in a swimming pool or sauna. She also finds peace of mind on the jogging track and ski trails and or in the yoga studio, and enjoys a good chat over a cup of coffee about camping and hiking, books and overland travel.
