Ms Nanqing Jiang has a PhD in Ecology and graduated from Beijing Normal University. She conducted research into agricultural ecology for 10 years, which included seven years’ international work experience in universities, institutes and international centres in the Netherlands, Israel, Japan and Kenya. She was also an associate professor of Beijing Normal University. She worked for the International Network for Bamboo and Rattan as a senior programme manager in 2007, and worked in the UNEP China Office as the national officer from 2008 to 2018.
She joined the CPRRA in October 2018 and led the CPRRA to join the Global Commitment on a New Plastics Economy in late 2018 as the first sectoral association from China. She also serves as an external expert on the EU-China Environmental Policy and Circular Economy Dialogue.
