Ms Changhua Wu is a specialist and policy analyst in the field of sustainability in China, an advisor to governments and corporations on sustainability strategy and innovation, a strategist in public and private engagement for a clean energy transformation and an advocate of policy change and practice leadership. She is a public voice for positive change, a social entrepreneur and innovator for sustainability and an award winner for her contributions to China’s low–carbon growth.
She is Chief Executive Officer of the Beijing Future Innovation Center, and a supporter of Jeremy Rifkin’s China/Asia strategic engagement. She serves as Vice Chair of the Governing Council of the Asia–Pacific Water Forum, is a member of the Global Future Council on Advanced Energy Technologies and a member of the Judging Panel for Technology Pioneers of the World Economic Forum.
Changhua holds an advisory position at the Asian Development Bank Water Advisory Group, is Executive Director of the Professional Association for China’s Environment (PACE) and a board member of the Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation. Previously, she was the Greater China Director of The Climate Group China, CEO of the ENSR, Director of China Studies for the World Resources Institute and Editor of the English edition of the China Environment News.
She holds a master’s in environmental policy and economics from the School of Public Affairs of the University of Maryland, an MA in journalism from the School of Journalism at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and a BA in English linguistics and literature from the School of Foreign Studies at Shandong University.
