Yuichi Moriguchi has been engaged in environmental studies for nearly 30 years.
He worked at the National Institute for Environmental Studies, where he was appointed to the Director of the Research Center for Material Cycles and Waste Management for 2005-2011. He was awarded the 2013 Society Prize of International Society for Industrial Ecology. He used to be a member of the UNEP International Resource Panel for 2007-2016. He is the current president of The Institute of Life Cycle Assessment, Japan.
